Marks and Spencer Turkey office was established in 2005 and is now responsible for sourcing Menswear, Womenswear, Kidswear, Lingerie and Homeware products for Marks and Spencer UK Headquarter in London Waterside.

The main responsibility of this regional office is to source, develop, plan and manage textile and home production around Turkey, Europe, Middle East, North Africa and Pakistan. Our team which started with 15 employees in 2005 has grown to 75 employees in region at a consistent pace.

Our structure is made up of Merchandising (Clothing, Homeware, Operations), Technology (Quality, Fabric, Garment, Product, Plan A), Ethical Compliance (Ethical Compliance and Auditing), and Supply Chain teams, supported by Human Resources and Finance departments.

 Our office is located in Yesilkoy-Istanbul.

 We are looking for SUPPLY CHAIN COORDINATOR for our Supply Chain  Department.

What is the purpose of the job?

Operations

• Ensure efficient vessel planning process and explore options to ensure on time departure and stock availability
• Assist with the resolution of operational exceptions with suppliers and freight managers (3PL) on day-to-day shipment planning (Sea, Sea-air, Air and other modes if required).
• Manage consolidation load plan and CY exception approvals to optimize container fill and lower cost per single
• Timely communicate exceptions to the relevant stakeholders and seek approval on proposed solutions
• Carrier space management – resolve space / equipment issue with local carriers
• Be responsive to changes with shipment products and schedules, proactively look for the optimal solution
• Closely monitor the service providers performance and escalate when appropriate for any operational failure to drive continuous improvement
• Monitor seasonal program and ad-hoc project cargo shipment
• Manage suppliers’ OTIF performance and work closely with merchandisers to drive better supplier performance
• Monitor holiday operations cut offs arrangement and peak season contingency plans

Compliance

•  Manage suppliers / factories’ shipment exceptions, and continuously drive supplier’s performance to meet KPI requirements.

Admin & ISC

• PO Management - Coordinate the follow-up of Exception Report with merchandising team
• Launch Management – facilitate the PO status follow up and timely feedback to UK Inbound
• Ensure correct documentations from supplier base in accordance to destination requirements
• Validate freight invoices and meet the required SLA
• Identify cost effective solutions to ship international orders
• Timely resolve Hub shipment exceptions 

General

• Support the region to deliver cost saving and continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Support the delivery of supply chain strategies and network requirement
• Support supply chain reporting
• Ensure service providers and suppliers adhere to SOP and trigger SOP update when required
• Deliver effective supplier training (face to face / online).
• Accountable for tasks and ad hoc projects as assigned by line manager

Key Skills

• Tertiary educated with 3-5 years of relevant experience in sourcing supply chain will be preferred
• High integrity
• Self-motivated and good team player
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Attention to details, logical thinking, and good problem-solving skills
• Ability to multi-task, set right priorities and work to tight deadlines
• Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
• Proficient in English,
• Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.  SAP and Power BI will be a plus
